Aeration

High Rate Aeration- This process is useful in the log growth phase. In this stage of filtration, excess food is present through recirculation in the biomass population. Here the effluent consists of acceptable levels of biochemical oxygen or BOD.

Conventional Aeration- It is the most popular activated sludge removal process, followed by industries and inequalities. It is the left capital-intensive process compared to extended aeration.

Extended Aeration

Commands with extended aeration facility require a longer oxidation period to reduce effluent BOD levels. The capital and operating costs of this process are relatively high.

Secondary Clarification
